SUMMARY Within the Alterra real estate team, we design, and develop
the built environment which enables the Company to deliver the most
compelling outdoor adventure experiences imaginable. Always focused
on driving growth and revenue for our resorts our innovative,
unique world-class development practices fuse entertainment,
sustainability and placemaking to deliver new standards in the
industry. The Regional Senior Project Manager, Construction
position will manage the planning, coordinating, and execution of
all construction execution aspects of project delivery for multiple
Alterra-owned resorts. This includes owning the development and
maintenance of detailed project plans, project timelines, budgets,
and quality standards. The position will also be responsible for
helping manage the bidding process, negotiating contracts, and
onboarding the various subcontractors and contractors involved in
the project. Additionally, the position will be responsible for
ensuring that all ESG, safety and quality standards are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES General Responsibilities:
- Create preliminary construction schedules, execution phasing
and project line-item budgets to be utilized during
construction.
- Prepare, or oversee the preparation, of all construction
documents - drawings, specifications, general conditions, special
provisions, contracts, bid forms, submittals, response to RFIs and
construction directives for all related construction projects.
- Establish key elements of strategic and operational plans for
construction execution that support Alterra's overall goals and
objectives.
- Manage external subcontractors and collaborate with internal
resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and
defined budgets.
- Work closely with the Development Operations team to ensure a
smooth transition from preconstruction to project execution.
- Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope,
timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project
requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,
including clients, partners and regulatory authorities, to ensure
successful project outcomes and business growth.
- Periodically attend Resort meetings to document and assess
internal processes and culture for implementation into the project
requirements and implement process to ensure alignment with
resort's needs.
- Collaborate with the VP Head of Construction and other
leadership across the organization in retention and recruitment of
technical tradespeople, key General Contractors, and
subcontractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects,
engineers, contractors, and vendors, to ensure effective
coordination and communication throughout the project. TRAVEL
REQUIRED: --' Yes Travel required 25-50% of time. REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- Proven experience overseeing large mixed-use project
construction management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery processes and project
management.
- A self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication
abilities; analytic, organizational, and problem-solving
skills
- Possess and demonstrates knowledge and expertise in the use of
project management methodologies and tools, facilitation skills,
and change management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and
external stakeholders.
- A team player that motivates project team, drives to project
success, and influences large cross-functional teams without direct
reporting responsibility.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects
simultaneously, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Deep understanding of industry regulations, codes and standards
related to the construction industry.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align construction
execution with overall business objectives.
- Proven success working with all levels of management. EDUCATION
& EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Required:
- A Professional degree is required from a four-year college or
university in Construction Management, or a related field.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of construction project management experience The
base salary range below represents the low and high end of the
Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position.
Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based
on various factors including but not limited to experience,
education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of
production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared
Services Inc.'s total compensation package for employees. Other
rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many
region-specific benefits. Denver area base salary range: $127,000 -
$184,000 per year PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands
