#36762Job Summary:The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical
Campus and the CU Center for Combat and Battlefield Research
(COMBAT) are responsible for the management of the National
Disaster Medical System (NDMS) Pilot operations and sustainment for
the Denver site. In collaboration with the NDSM national
leadership, COMBAT manages and executes NDMS core competencies
through regular stakeholder engagements, NDMS response plan
improvement, and the planning and execution of Homeland Security
Exercise & Evaluation Program (HSEEP) compliant NDMS exercises with
partners and stakeholders. The successful candidate for this
position possesses excellent project management and problem-solving
abilities and works well in a fast-paced environment. They should
possess keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to
supporting NDMS operations. The position must possess the ability
to successfully manage competing and changing priorities. The
NDMS-Denver Operations Support Professional will support daily
activities associated with execution of NDMS-Denver site operations
including coordinating with the Denver Field Implementation Team,
operationalizing the NDMS-Denver site implementation plan,
coordinating with Federal Coordinating Center (FCC) and other
agencies to support scheduled field exercises, and collaborate with
other federal oversight offices performing program evaluation
activities. The Operations Support Professional will work under the
guidance of the CU Anschutz NDMS Pilot site scientific lead and
COMBAT leadership. Key Responsibilities: Project Specialist
(60%)
- Create project schedules, analyze potential risks, and develop
mitigation strategies with guidance from scientific leads
- Work with project manager to identify dependencies and analyze
the progress of individual lines of effort to ensure deadlines are
met
- Develop internal reports for tracking project progress
- Support scientific leads in the coordination of CU Anschutz
NDMS activities with other regional and federal stakeholders as
indicated in the NDMS statement of work, including but not limited
to development and execution of regional and national level
disaster response exercises
- Identify novel capability gaps in Denver Pilot Site Operations
and recommend new projects to overcome/address gaps
- Lead project evaluation activities
- Prepare deliverables per the NDMS project statement(s) of work
including development of Site Improvement Plan and revision of
regional and national level operational plans
- Manage records related to CU Anschutz NDMS project
activitiesOperations Support (30%)
- Conduct data analysis and interpret findings for CU Anschutz
NDMS operations
- Maintain records related to CU Anschutz NDMS operations
- Assists with coordinating and conducting meetings, travel, and
visits as needed
- Attend all NDMS Denver-related meetings, take notes, and
provide a summary noting due outs and suspense
- Supports scheduling and calendar management for CU Anschutz
NDMSStrategic Initiatives (10%)
- Under the direction of the scientific leads, identify required
activities, develop courses of action, and implement to achieve the
statement of work objectivesWork Location:Hybrid - this role is
eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in disaster preparedness, emergency
management, public health, social sciences, healthcare
administration, public administration, business administration, or
a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of experience performing relevant job duties
- Substitution: A combination of education and related
technical/professional experience may be substituted for the
bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.Applicants must meet
minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in disaster preparedness, emergency
management, public health, or a directly related field from an
accredited institution
- Experience working for or with the National Disaster Medical
System or a Regional Disaster Medical System
- Experience working for or with the Department of Defense or
Health and Human Services
- Work experience related to public health or disaster
planning/response programs
- Experience with federal funding awardsKnowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:
- Knowledge of disaster response
- Ability to prepare and present analytical assessments and
reports
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both

stakeholders

Anticipated Pay Range:The starting salary range (or hiring range)
for this position has been established as $60,514 to $76,974.The
above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's
