care about your success. To provide leadership and accountability
in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service.
Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate
relations, accountable for the quality of patient care provided by
the nursing service. Responsible for planning, organizing,
directing, and evaluating all functions of the service to include
quality, administrative, and financial outcomes. Oversees the
delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for
establishing standards of nursing practice for the service and the
nursing professional practice as a whole. Assure achievement of
department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as
adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by
accreditation and regulatory agencies. May provide leadership over
other departments that collaborate with nursing for care of the
patients served. Span of control 250 head count and/or specialty
alignment. May carry between 4 to 6 leaders as direct reports.
Between 4 to 8 cost centers reporting. Reports to CNO/VP Patient
Care Services. Job Requirements In addition to bringing
humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will
need the following: • A degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN). • Masters
degree required. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire. • 4 years
progressive clinical leadership experience required. Experience in
acute care preferred. • RN license to practice in state of
employment as applicable. • Nursing Specialty Certification
required to sit within 6 months; Must achieve within 1 year of hire
or transfer to the role. • Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs.
