Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in
Colorado, is looking to enhance our medical imaging team by
recruiting an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Lead. This
role is pivotal in offering expert sonographic services,
supervising a team, and ensuring high standards of care are
delivered across our facilities. The successful candidate will
maintain operational excellence in the Ultrasound department,
implement new protocols, and contribute significantly to patient
diagnosis and management. This is a unique opportunity to join a
committed team in a dynamic, patient-focused environment. Direct
and supervise the activities of sonography personnel within the
department. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory
guidelines, maintaining patient safety and high-quality standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of departmental
policies and protocols. Perform advanced diagnostic sonographic
examinations using ultrasound equipment for detection, diagnosis,
and treatment follow-up as per physician's orders. Provide
leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations for sonography
staff. Coordinate with other medical professionals to improve
clinical workflows and patient care outcomes. Manage equipment
maintenance schedules and departmental supplies. Assist in the
training of new staff and contribute to continuous education
initiatives. Expert knowledge of sonographic imaging and patient
care. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and
motivate a team. High level of proficiency in using various
ultrasound machines. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with diagnostic
equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
credential required. Active certification with the American
Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in specialties
relevant to the practice.
