UCHealth, a renowned leader in healthcare in Colorado, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse for our Medical Acute Care Unit during night shifts. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in managing nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care in line with our nonprofit mission to provide patient-centered healthcare through innovation and excellence. This role requires a proactive approach to nurse leadership, ensuring that patient care is delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently during night shifts. Oversee the nursing staff and coordinate night shift operations in the Medical Acute Care Unit. Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and procedures. Monitor patient care for quality. Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and patient flow. Act as a liaison between the night shift staff and hospital management. Train and mentor new staff members. Handle emergencies with composure and professionalism. Participate in the development and implementation of nursing protocols and standards. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make decisions in emergency situations. Proficient in using healthcare software and systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado. BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Association. Prefer Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or similar.
