Job Description:
UCHealth, a premier nonprofit healthcare system in Colorado, is
seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist I to join our Acute
Care team. This position will focus on providing specialized
speech-language therapy services to patients with a wide range of
communication and swallowing disorders, due to acute illnesses or
acute injury phases. As a member of UCHealth, you will work within
a dynamic team environment to foster exceptional healthcare
outcomes through effective communication rehabilitation. Assess and
diagnose disorders related to speech, language,
cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. Develop
and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs
and severity of impairment. Collaborate with healthcare
professionals to ensure coordination of patient care. Educate
patients and families about communication strategies and swallowing
safety techniques. Regularly document and update patient progress
and adapt treatment plans as necessary. Participate in
multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care
planning. In-depth knowledge of speech-language pathology
principles and practices. Ability to diagnose and treat a variety
of speech and swallowing disorders. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in documenting patient care and treatment plans.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
(CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
