An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to contribute to a dynamic surgical team in the Denver, CO area. This contract position involves working within a well-equipped operating room environment focused on orthopedic, spine, and minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgeries. Candidates must hold a current and valid DORA nursing license before applying. Schedule: Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Core Responsibilities: Provide expert perioperative nursing care during a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries such as Davinci and Mako systems. Collaborate closely with surgeons, CSTs, and other OR team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Maintain adherence to unit policies and best practices regarding sterile technique and instrumentation. Operate or assist with state-of-the-art surgical equipment, including Stryker systems and other advanced technologies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active and unrestricted RN license with DORA licensure required prior to submission. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proven skills and experience in orthopedic, spine, and advanced robotic surgical procedures. Prior experience in an operating room setting preferred. Strong teamwork and collaborative spirit. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced operating room environment with attention to detail. Comfortable working with EMR systems such as Meditech. Unit Environment and Location:This role is based in a modern, first-floor operating room suite in Centennial, Colorado, part of a larger metropolitan health system. The unit is composed of a dedicated team of surgical nurses, Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs), and support staff committed to delivering excellent perioperative care. The unit operates four ORs plus one dedicated endoscopy suite, equipped with cutting-edge surgical technology. The dress code includes light blue scrubs which are provided on site.
