Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer
(Level 2 or 3) to join our team. This position is based in Aurora,
Colorado. Our teams are hiring Electrical Engineers within areas of
focus: Cable Harness design, Circuit Card design and electrical
analysis. Looking for experience in any of the following: Product
life cycle, Teamcenter, line loss analysis, derating analysis, bent
pin analysis, signal integrity analysis etc. Specific duties to
include, but are not limited to the following: Lead and collaborate
on the electrical designs analysis and integration of hardware
systems ensuring adherence to changing requirements and
specifications. Hardware systems are primarily but not limited to
Ground RF Systems with COTS and Custom COTS equipment, Antenna and
RF front end equipment, Racks with AC and DC power supplies along
with rack mounted computers Author and/or review of engineering
deliverables consisting of one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams,
data sheets, requirement specifications, hazardous area
classification drawings, electrical analysis and electrical power
studies. Identify and communicate risks and opportunities involving
the electrical designs Finalize/update drawings, incorporation of
drawing and documentation redlines. Develop and present data
packages consisting of artifacts and analysis results to program
leadership and customers during Design Reviews and Technical
Exchange Meetings Support equipment maintenance, moves, and
deployment of equipment and integration of compute equipment into
environments for development and deployment. Experience/interest in
power/cooling or site construction and traveling to support
installation and configuration events would be a plus. Participate
in lower-level to system-level testing and verification processes,
ensuring hardware meets all specified requirements and standards.
Conduct troubleshooting and modifications on existing hardware
designs to enhance performance and reliability. An understanding of
networking and infrastructure principles and design Utilize clear
technical writing to document design alterations, prepare status
reports, and develop design specifications and validation plans.
Maintain a proactive attitude in meetings with cross-functional
teams, demonstrating initiative and professionalism while engaging
with colleagues and stakeholders. Position may require occasional
travel to support field activities and hardware deployment. CONUS
and OCONUS travel possible. Basic Qualifications: Level
2:Electrical Engineer : Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 2 years
of experience; or 0 years of work experience with a Master’s Degree
Level 3:Principal Electrical Engineer : Bachelor of Science degree
in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline
and 5 years of experience; or 3 years of experience with a Master’s
Degree; or 1 Year of experience with a PhD. Active DoD TS/SCI
Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years at the
time of application Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Knowledge of Electrical Principles Experience in conducting
analysis on electrical designs Experience using Microsoft (MS)
Word, Excel, Power Point with knowledge of MS Project and
Engineering Scheduling tools or applications. Experience with
electrical/power systems, cable/harness, circuit card, controls
systems and/or electrical hardware design/analysis. Knowledgeable
of using the Mentor Graphics Capital/Xpedition tool or equivalents
Experience reviewing engineering specifications, schematics and/or
drawings with the ability to translate customer driven requirements
into specifications. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent
interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills,
including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and
succinctly to both Government and corporate leadership. Experience
resolving issues and providing technical support Capable of working
with minimal direction and in team environments. Experience with
ETAP or SKM PTW32 for short circuit analysis, coordination studies,
and arc flash studies. Proficiency with Mentor Graphics, Siemens
NX, and Teamcenter. Electrical design experience in CAD such as
NX/Revit Experience working with external customers to meet program
expectations in a timely and efficient manner. Experience with
maintenance and reliability engineering Experience using the
following tools: ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalents Teamcenter/CPLM
experience Continuous Process Improvement experience Experience
with Agile Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as the
National Electric Code (NEC), National Electrical Safety Code
(NESC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International
Building Code (IBC) and Unified Facilities Criteria. Knowledge of
various data transmission formats (eg. Serial, TCP/IP, Fiber etc)
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary
Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary
range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman
considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers
such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the
candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
