Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee our financial operations within our rehabilitation and home health divisions. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial integrity and transparency of our operations, in alignment with healthcare regulations and company policies. The Controller will lead all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a company devoted to delivering high-quality patient care across various settings. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Support month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Additional duties as necessary Proficiency with financial reporting software Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with creating financial statements Excellent data analysis and forecasting skills Strong leadership and personnel management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is strongly preferred MBA or Master's in Finance is an advantage
